A Visit to Dow Gardens

I was heading to Grayling, Michigan to camp and hike some of the wooded trails for shooting opportunities.

On my way to Grayling, I stopped at Dow Gardens in Midland. The Dow gardens was started 124 years ago by Herbert Dow who passed away in 1930. Over the years the gardens grew to 110 acres.

I planned my trip to be there right when they opened to avoid people traffic on the pathways.

It was a perfect morning with no wind and overcast skies that looked like it might rain, so that helped keep attendees away during the couple hours I was there.

I didn't see many flowers I was excited about, but they do have a lot of interesting plant life that I have never seen before.

I used some of the creative filters in Smart Photo Editor on some of the images.
