It was early morning at daybreak and came across this bee on the flower just hanging on, and I thought it was dead, but just stiff from the cool morning.

I really liked the spiky hair and thought that's different, never seen a bee like this, so it's a good subject to shoot.

Always in search of unusual subjects.

The spotlight was added in post processing. Used the darken/lighten center filter in Nik Software's Color Efex Pro.
