Bristlecone Pine

Root and cones from a Bristlecone Pine tree shot in the Eastern Sierra Mountains in California.  This grove of trees lives at 11,000 feet in elevation and some of the trees can be aged at 5,000 years old.  They are the oldest living thing on the planet.
