First Day of Spring

The temps in Michigan have been above normal but today is the first day of spring and temps are close to normal in the 40s.

The nice thing is that I know we're only a few weeks away until it starts to warm and it's time to venture into the woods for the first spring wildflowers.

The early flowers are the Bloodroot flowers.  The problem is they seem to only bloom a very short time, and if you miss them, you'll have to wait another year.

Here are a couple shots of Bloodroot.

The long winter will be ending soon, so get the gear ready to go.
