Frog season with be coming to an end soon, so get out and get some shots before they hibernate.

Yes, many species of frogs hibernate in winter when the environment gets too cold or if there’s a lack of food or water1. Depending on the species, they may burrow underground, hide beneath leaves, or lurk at the bottom of a pond2. Their metabolism slows down, and glucose levels rise in their essential organs to prevent them from freezing completely2
