Looking for Something Different

I'm always checking the flowers in my yard for something interesting or different to shoot.  Here is a group of Daylily flowers that I have shot in the past.

Most photogs including myself like to shoot the inside of this flower showing off the stamens like this.

Over the years I have a few shots of single flowers with the same composition, and not looking to repeat it, so when I study them each year, I look for something different to shoot or I don't bother shooting them. This year I found one flower directly over top of a second flower. I thought, that's different, I can get two flowers with stamens in one shot, which makes it a different composition then the standard single flower I typically shoot.

I do my post processing in Smart Photo Editor, cropping, sharpening, color enhancement, and adding a dark vignette.  I have two versions, one where I added a lot of color and one with a little more muted color.  Sometimes I look at the two and think I like the more saturated colors, and sometimes I look at them and like the one with less saturation. It depends on my mood each day when I view them.

So, I was happy this year to find a new and different composition to add to my portfolio of Daylily flowers.
