Macro Photo Club Featured Photographer - Tina Daniels

I live in Lapeer, Michigan. I started my photography journey 4.5 years ago after receiving my very first Canon DSLR camera as a birthday present. From that moment I was hooked on capturing landscapes and nature photography.  I am deeply humbled by the various textures, patterns and lines that exist naturally in nature.

I take photos with a Canon 5D Mark IV and a 28-300 mm Tamron lens. My favorite macro subject to shoot are flowers and textured items. The flowers epitomize the fragility and beauty of nature’s blooming wonders while reminding us, time is fleeting and short lived. Photographing textured items brings the sense of being able to use your tactile senses to obtain a sense of texture in a three-dimensional world. 

My favorite locations to take photos are botanical gardens and private gardens. Each offers a variety of plant species that opens the mind and spirit to new possibilities and ideas for photographing flowers and spending time in nature.
