Meijer Botanical Gardens

Last week I visited the Meijer Botanical Gardens in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  They have a great indoor greenhouse full of tropical and desert plants. The outside was a little too windy, and still early in the season for many flowers to shoot, so did all my shooting indoors.

I usually like to go to botanical gardens when they first open to avoid crowds of people, but on this trip, I didn't show up until about 3pm.  I found it to be less crowned later in the day then coming early in the morning, and by five o'clock I was the only one in any of the greenhouses.  I guess by that time of the day people are heading home for dinner.  So, I may in the future go to the botanical gardens later in the day as it seems less crowded at that time of the day.
