My New Tamron 18-400

I've been bugging Tamron for over a month now wondering when I'm going to get the new 18-400 lens.  Now you may think it strange that as a macro photographer I would be excited about getting the 18-400,  but this lens does everything, like shoot wide angles, zooms out to 400mm, and also does great for close-up photography.  It will focus into an area of about 2 inches by 3 inches.  It's a great lens when you need to reach out to capture a close-up in a botanical garden, or nature center, where you have to shoot from the pathways at your subjects.  So it just arrived today and it's a little to windy to shoot flowers and plants outside, and needed something that had lots of textures and was not effected by the wind.  My wife had this little Halloween doll on the back porch and it's a perfect subject to test out the sharpness of the lens.  I was very happy with the details in the images, and can't wait to get out in the field with it and maybe even do a new video on it for my Macro Photo Club online.  I'll be now selling my Tamron 16-300, which has also been a great lens for me.
