I was sad to hear today that the well-known amazing photographer Bryan Petterson has passed away. 

The photographers that impress me the most are not the ones with the greatest technical camera skills but the ones that consistently find amazing subject matter to shoot.

I was always drawn to his eye for strong color contrasts in his subjects. 

He was an excellent teacher, and I was honored to present a macro program on his online photography classes. 

I always enjoyed talking the business of photography when I ran into him at photo conferences.

He will be greatly missed. RIP Bryan.
