Yesterday I posted on Facebook an image I shot many years ago of a Lily of the Valley flower.  Seeing that image trigger memories of stories I heard from people that bought this image when I was in the art shows.

One lady said that Lily of the Valley flowers always reminded her of her deceased grandmother who had a patch of these flowers growing in her yard.

Another buyer said that her favorite perfume is made from the Lilly of the Valley flower, so she wanted to hang this image on her wall to show people the flower that they make her favorite perfume from.

Many women told me the story of carrying Lily of the Valley flowers down the aisle on their wedding day. Not sure what was the meaning of carrying that flower on the day, I probably should have asked why they did that.

In one of the photo groups I posted this, a lady responded, "Lily of the Valley; The symbol of happiness".

I don't remember all the remarks from customers buying this flower image, but there were others, but these three comments always stood out to me.

Of all the flower images I have photographed and sold, no other flower has had so many connections like the Lilly of the Valley flower.
