Prior to the pandemic I traveled the US from east coast to west coast and from north to south even to Alaska teaching my macro boot camps and speaking to camera clubs. I drove to all those locations (flew to Alaska) because I carried a lot of products that I sold in my workshops.

Once the pandemic hit all in person programs came to a halt for a few years. Emerged was the zoom program. Everyone learned about zoom so families could connect during the holidays, birthdays, and camera clubs ran their monthly meeting through zoom.

The huge benefit of zoom for the camera clubs was that they could bring in speakers from anywhere in the US or the world to present a program to their club. A club could not afford to pay the expenses to bring a speaker for an in-person program from outside of their area.

For the last five years I have been able to stay home and do all my teaching and club presentations in my home office. That is really nice not having to drive all over the county. Most of my drives I could do in a day on the east side of the county, but when I went to California from Michigan it was 800 miles per day over three days.

Today at 3pm I will be presenting a program to a large group of photographers in England, and at 7pm I will be presenting to a camera club in Montreal, Canada. Amazing how I can be presenting in two different counties in the same day.
