I spent a morning with the Queen, that is Queen Anne Lace.

It's not one of my favorite wildflowers but it is fun to try and figure out how to creatively photograph it.

I got out very early on a cloudy windless day which I always watch the weather each week for those conditions.

Here is an image of a mile long trail that is littered with Queen Anne Lace flowers.

Here is a nice close up of the Queen Anne Laces seedhead.

I came across this Queen Anne Lace with a clover flower that had emerged right through the flower, so I thought that was interesting and something different.

Here we are seeing the backside of the Queen Anne Lace growing into a spruce tree.

This was a very interesting flower as it had a lot of separation in the head. I mirrored the flower in Smart Photo Editor, which made it even more interesting of an image.

I like to find a single subject natural background behind flowers and found this flower growing up through this spruce tree.

So, I found six nice subjects to shoot, I had shot many more but some times the subject looks great when you're shooting them but don't always look great when you get home and view them on computer screen.
