Dead Plants Make Cool Art

Thursday, December 30, 2021 | By: Mike Moats Photography

Winter has come to the north and all the plant life; flowers have transformed into a different artistic design.

Many of the plants are still standing in the fields although they've lost their color and have wilted, there is still some art to be found in these plants.

The lens I use for these shots is typically my zoom lenses, like the Tamron 18-400 or 16-300, but can also be done with a macro lens.

Sometimes I will just do my general post processing and sometimes I may add an artistic filter to make the dead plants look a little more artistic.
