I’m from Westlake, Ohio.

I’ve been doing photography of some type for decades, but really started getting passionate about it in 2010.

I shoot with a Nikon D850 and use the Nikkor 105mm for macro.  I’ve recently started experimenting with Lensbaby lenses as well – specifically the Velvet 56, Sweet 50, and Twist 60.

My favorite macro subjects will always be flowers, but I also enjoy the transformations that can occur from photographing plain, ordinary items.

I photograph flowers from my own garden most often, but actively explore public gardens whenever possible.  Locally, I like the gardens at Stan Hywet Hall, Holden Arboretum, and the Cleveland Botanical Garden.  Favorite out of town gardens include Longwood Gardens, Chanticleer, and the Atlanta Botanical Garden.  But there are so many more yet to explore!
