Mayapple - The Before and After

I think Mayapple plants are so interesting.  The top of the plant looks like an umbrella, and underneath the umbrella is a single white flower.  They are not easy to shoot, because you have to get down on the ground and shoot the flower under the umbrella, so tough on the body shooting these.

Here is the original shot of the flower, and it's okay as a nice soft focus flower shot, but kind of bland in color.

I decided it needed more color, and a little more artistic processing.  I used my Smart Photo Editor program, and applied this filter.  I think it looks more artistic than the original. It's amazing what a simple click on a filter will do to an image.
