Looks Like Milkweed, But Not.

There is a plant that has seedpods in the fall that open and send out seeds with hairs that look just like the Milkweed seeds, but the pod is not fat like the Milkweed pods, but tall and skinny.  They are the pods of the Butterfly Weed.  I'm sure this plant is a relative of the Milkweed plant.

So if you find seedpods that are tall and very skinny, they are the Butterfly Weed plant, which also has cluster of small orange flowers through the summer.
