My name is Laura Venczel and I live in Manchester, MD.

My partner became very excited about Macro Photography after he went to one of Mike's classes about a year ago.  He showed me your work, and his photographs from the class—I was so impressed by the beauty of Macro photography, I started to slow down and observe the wonder of a smaller, and sometimes hidden world—now I’m hooked! I have been learning Macro photography for about a year now.

Currently, I use an Olympus EM 1 Mark ll with an Olympus 60mm f2.8 macro lens.

My favorite subjects are leaves, flowers and insects, especially beetles and flies.

My favorite location is anywhere outside—especially on hiking trails or in nature preserves.
